Poems

Poems are written by Lisa Salami ( Cousin)

MY GEORGE

As tears fall down my face, and I begin to cry,
I realize the time has come, For us to say goodbye.
He was so loved, now forever gone,
Our pain so real, our hearts being torn.

Taken from us all left to wonder why,
I am better off now Ma, so Please don't you cry.

He was my George, He was much more then Kin.

He was always loved, though the thick and thin.

Although we'll sadly miss you, you'll never be forgot.
So forever you'll remain right here in my heart.

MISSING LINK

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.

A part of us went with you,
the day GOD took you home.
On Angels wings you left us, to watch us from above.
Though we're filled with sadness, we feel your endless love.
The memories we cling to, help get us through the day,
sometimes the tears start flowing because, we wanted you to stay.
Our family circle broken, a link gone from the chain.
although we are parted, we know we'll meet again.

TRY TO UNDERSTAND

Last night while I was sleeping, My sons voice I did know.

I opened my eyes and looked around, But he did not appear.
He said Mom you've got to listen, you've got to understand.

GOD didn't take me from you, He only took my hand.

When I called out, in pain that night, The instant that I died.

He reached down, and took my hand, and pulled me to his side.

He pulled me up and saved me, from the misery and pain.

My body hurt so badly inside, I could never be the same.

My search is really over now, I found happiness within.

All the answers to my empty dreams, and all that might have been.

I love you all, and will miss you so, But I'll always be near by.
My body is gone for evermore, But my spirit, will never die!

And so, you must all go on now, live one day at a time, and try to understand
GOD did not take me from you,
He only took my hand.
